Have you met…..YOU?

So over the course of time, I have been through various ups and downs. The highest of them has filled me with joy and inflated my ego and the lowest of low has broken and changed me.
At some point in time, we all must have seen a motivational speaker, read a motivating or soul searching book or have turned towards an advisor for help. There are umpteen reasons for that…

  • Maybe we were lost and wanted to know the path
  •    Maybe we knew the answer but needed assurance
  •    Maybe be had hope for betterment  or
  •  Simple peer pressure.

Whatever the reasons maybe when we turned towards these means; the most common thing I came across was…Find the real you, befriend it and become a better self. But, as beautiful as it sounds it might not always be true, or rather agreeable.

Over a period of time, we have changed, adapted and grown just to fit in society or to be able to make our place in it. There are people who actually feel lost and disconnected from themselves…But, what about those who feel more confident in the newfound skin.
We crave to search our self, but what if the person we are now is an updated version of it. Why do we want to search our deep self where we were insecure or afraid? Why not cherish the confident self.

The reason for it is to have a true connection and balance of life. When we act or behave differently, we are creating a dummy self of our self to please others or to be accepted by society. The problem starts when the lines between our real and dummy self, start to blur. We start living in a false reality which over time leads us to a gloomy path of unknowns and uncertainty.

Now, in these times when we are all cut off from society, we are not pretending or acting out our part; Let us make a pact with ourselves to discover our lost self. Let’s take time to sit with our thoughts and contemplate on things we have not been able to see during our fast-paced life.

Let us delve deep to actually embrace our true self so that when we next meet the society we are confident in our own skin and are fully aware of our doubts, weaknesses, and fears. Let us be more kind to ourselves and appreciate what we have achieved over time.
Remember you are learning about yourself, it is going to change your perspective, it might make you uncomfortable or it might just make you get at ease. Whatever you feel....just feel it for you.

So today when you get some time to yourself…Just sit and say

Hello, me…sorry, I was busy….but it’s time to catch up…..😊
