Don’t Preach, Reach

Life is beautiful for some and not so beautiful for others. Everyone has a different view of it. Those who see beauty in life are the ones who cherish each moment of it despite of its oddities. While some may not be able to see beyond the negativity of it and hence, unable to see its beauty.

In life you may fall in any of the two above categories or you may shift yourself from one to another over a period of time. At times we fight hard to keep the positives alive, while at times the circumstances overpower us and cloud our thinking.

The best part of human life is; that we are capable of sharing our feelings and emotions with others. We have people around us to share our sorrows and double our happiness.
But, at times we fall prey to self-loathing and inferiority complex. We may avoid sharing our feelings with the fear of being mocked or judged upon. We may consider ourselves as a misfit to our society or feel as a failure.
These feelings lead to many consequences some emotional, some physical and some life threatening. So, what to do when stuck in this situation….REACH….stretch your hand and ask for help…..you may be surprised to see the number of hands reaching out to help.

While it is easy to advice, it is very difficult for a person who is deep drowned in negativity to call for help…so what shall the others around them do….REACH……take out time in your life to know about the well-being of people you care. Talk to them, look out for any negativity, look out for signs of negativity and above all DON’T PREACH……because advice is not the best medicine always. Give your love, your time and you ear….to help them out.

In today’s modern era, when we have so many means to stay connected, people have become more disconnected. Cases of suicide, depression, anxiety, self-loathing have increased significantly over the period of time. So, stop for a while and look around…you may find someone close to you shouting for help.

Friends at times the hardships of life can break a person badly. It may damage them without their knowledge. So, just REACH out to them, make them believe in the beauty of life because sometimes lending someone a fresh view can instill the life back into them.

Remember….A view from mountain top is beautiful; but it is better if you help someone to see it with you.
